Posting for my partner, Elijah (24, they/them). They have been struggling with chronic illness for years and had their first surgery a few days ago. They have had so many emotions and reached out to their estranged mother for support, only to be verbally abused & blocked in their moment of need. If anyone (ideally Black people but not a requirement) would be able to stand in as a mother for them for a phone call and give them space to express themselves and finally be understood, it would be so meaningful. We are located in Buffalo (originally from the city) and they also welcome anyone, not just mother figures, who would want to reach out as friends. Thank you in advance to this wonderful community. <3
